Comments

Hey everyone! Sorry about the comment problems... I fixed it and your comments will show up from now on! :-D Everyone is doing well... We've started studying Spanish and I am enjoying it! I also got to go to the market for the first time today and had a good time :-) At one point Larinda and I were both carrying food, I was carrying watermelon and Larinda a branch of bananas. I guess the Peruvians have never seen gringos carry they're own food! We had many stares! :-D Mom is making pasty tonight! yay! what a treat... we even get ketchup with it :-D hope everyone is doing well in the states!

  3. We can't drive motokars, but we ride them all the time. Well, we could...but you have to have a license I think. And for some reason, we have never seen a female driving one. I've wondered why...they drive motor bikes all the time.

  4. Hey Guys! It sounds like God's faithfullness has been so evident since you all have been down there especially with all those potentially awful injuries. Praise the Lord, He is good (Roxanne, that gash is pretty impressive!). It struck me as I was reading about how the pillars had to be formed before any of the construction could continue and it reminded me of our lives... Without solid foundations with certain pillars we can't expect to deepen our walk with the Lord because all the new growth will just crumble since the foundation wasn't strong. There are so many things that need to become our pillars too but one that I've been learning recently is humility. " But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all". To be humble is to recognize our sinfullness next to Jesus' holiness and how they must go together. Humility draws the Lord to us because when we're proud we're in all senses competing for God's sovereign position, claiming his glory for ourselves. So he loves a humble spirit because it recognizes that He alone is deserving of glory and that we need him desperately. Anyway, sorry to preach a sermon, it's just been neat to see what God is teaching so I thought I'd share! Hope you all are doing well and that spanish is coming along ;)
